Mr. Mickey Hyun Yu KimManager, New Business Development Team, Google
Mr. Mickey Hyunyu Kim is a New Business Development manager at Google, managing strategic partnerships for new business initiatives and new product incubation efforts. In this process, Mr. Kim led partnerships for Google’s new business initiatives such as OpenSocial and Google Chrome Extensions and built ecosystems around them. In addition, Mr. Kim managed business development for Google’s new publisher ad platform and was recognized for his contributions with the OC Award, an award from Google’s top executives. Recently, Mr. Kim has been leading partnerships with consumer electronics manufacturers to seek new opportunities with Google services and platforms and currently is focusing on Google TV.
Mr. Kim also has been serving as an advisor to various technology start-ups in the US and Korea and helping them with business development, funding, and strategy. Mr. Kim earned his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley where he was a co-president of the Haas Technology Club. Prior to Haas, Mr. Kim was an international sales manager of mobile phones at Samsung Electronics and led Samsung Electronics to become one of the dominant market leaders in the Israeli mobile market.
